New · early access

A second pair of eyes on the layout.

Once Extruda understands your plan, it can review the design — flagging circulation that wastes space, rooms with no daylight, awkward proportions, and privacy or layout problems — each with a plain-language reason and a suggestion. Constructive design feedback to make a plan better, not a code-compliance or permitting check.

Circulation & flow

Spots wasted hallway area, dead-end corridors, and rooms you can only reach by walking through another one.

Daylight & proportions

Flags habitable rooms with no window and long, narrow spaces that are hard to furnish or live in.

Layout & privacy

Catches a bathroom opening onto a living or dining space, buried bedrooms, and a bedroom with no window or second way out.

Questions

Good to know.

What is Extruda?

Extruda is an AI tool that converts a 2D floor plan — an image, PDF, or scan — into editable 3D geometry, CAD files (DXF/DWG), furnished renders, and Blender-ready models. It reads walls, rooms, doors, and windows automatically, so you skip days of manual redrawing.

What file formats can I upload to Extruda?

Extruda accepts plan images (PNG, JPG), PDFs, and scans. Cleaner input reads more accurately, but the in-browser editor is there to fix whatever the detector misses.

Do I need CAD software to use Extruda?

No. Everything happens in your browser — no AutoCAD, Revit, or Blender license required. When you're ready, Extruda exports to DXF and other formats you can open in the CAD tool of your choice.

Does Extruda export to AutoCAD, Revit, and Blender?

Yes. Extruda exports production-ready DXF/DWG with proper layers for AutoCAD and Revit, plus OBJ, glTF/GLB, and .blend files for Blender and other 3D tools.

Can Extruda convert a PDF floor plan to DXF?

Yes. Upload a PDF floor plan and Extruda detects the walls and rooms, lets you refine them, and exports clean, layered DXF/DWG geometry ready for CAD.

How accurate is Extruda's auto-detection?

Extruda handles clean plans well and keeps improving. Anything it gets wrong you can fix in seconds in the editor — the export always matches exactly what you see on screen.

Who owns the plans I upload to Extruda?

You do. Your uploaded plans and their exports are yours; Extruda does not sell or share them.

Does Extruda handle renovation and construction project management?

It's rolling out in early access. Beyond turning plans into 3D and CAD, Extruda is adding tools for contractors to quote a job from the plan, track progress, and share updates — and for clients to follow along, give feedback, and sign off.

Can contractors send price quotes and progress updates to clients?

Yes — that's part of the project-management features rolling out in early access. Contractors, solo or in teams, build a quote from the plan and share progress, while clients see the quote, watch the work, and approve it.

Is Extruda's project management for solo contractors or teams?

Both. It's built for individual contractors and teams, with a client-facing view so homeowners and clients can follow the project, leave feedback, and sign off.

Can Extruda review my floor plan design?

It's rolling out in early access. Once Extruda has a structured model of your plan, it can review the design and flag issues like wasted circulation, rooms with no daylight, awkward proportions, and privacy or layout problems — each with a plain-language reason and a suggestion. It's constructive design feedback, not a code-compliance or permitting review.

Does Extruda check my plan against building codes?

No. Extruda's design review gives educational suggestions to improve a layout — circulation, daylight, proportions, adjacency, and the like — but it isn't a code-compliance, permitting, or professional review. Always verify requirements against the codes that apply in your jurisdiction with a qualified professional.

Is Extruda free?

Extruda is free during early access. Launch pricing is published on our pricing page: there's a free plan, paid plans start at $16.67/month billed annually ($19.99 month-to-month), and CAD export starts at $50.00/month annually ($59.99 monthly).
